About the Office
In line with the National Strategy “Egypt Vision 2030,” launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aims to establish a comprehensive vision for Egypt’s development across various fields, and which is primarily based on the studies of the Comprehensive Development Plan for Egypt and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and various areas of economic growth, the strategy seeks to maximize the role of the Ministry’s diverse institutions in effectively supporting development across the economic, social, urban, and environmental domains.
In accordance with the strategy’s key pillars, including the concept of “Sustainability,” efforts are directed toward enhancing the long-term sustainability and resilience of higher education institutions in general, with particular emphasis on students, graduates, and employees within the higher education sector.
Accordingly, the Sustainability Office was established under the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, following the approval of the University Council under Resolution No. (553) dated May 7, 2024. The Office is chaired by the President of the University and operates under the supervision of the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
