As part of the Egyptian state's efforts toward internationalizing higher education, boosting educational service exports, and opening new markets for Egyptian universities, Capital University took part in the specialized promotional mission for Egyptian educational services in Nigeria, held under the slogan "Study in Egypt." The mission is organized by the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Universities, the Central Administration for International Students Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Commercial Representation Authority, under the patronage of the Ministries of Investment and Foreign Trade and Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Capital University's participation, coordinated through its International Students Office, came alongside a number of other Egyptian universities, aiming to introduce Egypt's educational system and the academic programs and modern specializations, and to open direct communication channels with students, parents, and educational institutions in the Nigerian market — helping to increase the number of international students and strengthen academic cooperation between Egypt and African countries.

Professor El-Sayed Kandil, President of Capital University, affirmed that the university's participation in the promotional mission reflects its belief in the importance of an active international presence for Egyptian universities and in broadening networking with international students from around the world, especially from the African continent. He noted that attracting international students is no longer just about offering a distinguished educational opportunity, but has become one of the key avenues for strengthening Egyptian soft power and building lasting bridges of communication and cooperation between peoples.

He added that the university is keen to offer an educational model that combines quality education, modern academic programs, and alignment with labor market needs, along with a focus on scientific research and innovation — making it an attractive option for international students seeking a distinguished university education in Egypt.

Dr. Kandil pointed out that participating in specialized international events offers an important opportunity for direct engagement with students and parents to understand their aspirations and educational needs, alongside showcasing the programs and services Capital University offers international students. He stressed that the university continues to support internationalization efforts and strengthen its regional and international standing, in line with Egypt's vision of transforming education into a promising sector for service exports.

Dr. Walid El-Sarougy, Acting Vice President of Capital University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, affirmed that the university's openness to international education markets complements its efforts to develop postgraduate studies and scientific research and build academic and research partnerships with international institutions. He noted that attracting international students adds significant value to the university's academic and research environment and enhances interaction among different scientific schools and cultures.

He explained that through its presence at international education events, Capital University aims to present a comprehensive overview of its academic and research capabilities, introduce study programs and specializations that keep pace with global developments and labor market needs, and highlight the supportive educational and research environment it offers international students.

In the same context, Dr. Lubna Shehab, Director of the International Students Office at Capital University, outlined the office's role in supporting the university's strategy for attracting international students — communicating with them, informing them about available programs and services, following up on their needs, and facilitating their educational journey from initial inquiry and application through enrollment and study.

The International Students Office works to strengthen communication with students from various countries and provide information on academic programs and admission requirements, in line with the university's policy to build a comprehensive system for welcoming international students and providing them with an attractive educational environment.

Lagos was the mission's first stop, where Capital University hosted an information booth that welcomed a large number of students and parents interested in learning about study opportunities in Egypt. The booth offered a comprehensive overview of the university's academic programs, admission requirements and procedures, scholarships, and services provided to international students.

The university's booth also offered a chance for direct engagement with Nigerian students, answering their questions about studying in Egypt, highlighting the educational and research advantages Capital University offers, and explaining the application, enrollment, and support procedures available to international students throughout their studies.

Capital University's participation included Dr. Aliaa Fekry, Head of Marketing at the International Students Office, who took part in introducing the university and its academic programs and engaging with students, parents, and visitors to the pavilion.

The mission also witnessed participation from Helwan National University, represented by Ms. Rana Ashraf, the university's marketing specialist. The joint booth of both universities drew notable interest from students and parents, with information provided on study programs, admission requirements, and services available to international students.

The joint participation of the two universities reflects Egyptian higher education institutions' commitment to strengthening their presence in African education markets and engaging directly with students interested in studying in Egypt, supporting the Egyptian state's efforts to increase the number of international students and boost educational service exports.

Capital University's participation was not limited to university representatives — it also extended to the university's student ambassadors, Nigerian students currently studying in the university , who played a prominent role in supporting the event and engaging with students and visitors.

Hannatu Muktar, Capital University's student ambassador for Nigerian students , took part in the exhibition events in Abuja, helping welcome visitors and sharing her own study experience and university life in Egypt, while answering student questions about studying, living, and admission procedures.

Musa Uba Shareef, Capital University's student ambassador for Nigeria, is taking part in the exhibition in Kano, offering Nigerian students a firsthand account of his educational experience and university life in Egypt, and helping introduce Capital University and the opportunities it offers international students.

The presence of these Nigerian student ambassadors represents an important model of direct communication grounded in genuine experience, as students share their own experiences with their peers — building trust in the Egyptian educational experience and presenting a positive picture of academic and social life for international students in Egypt.

The mission's activities continued in Abuja and Kano, where Capital University carried on its participation in meetings and exhibitions dedicated to Nigerian students and educational bodies, providing further opportunities to showcase the university, its academic programs, and its services for international students.
