**Capital University Launches “Capital University International Student Ambassadors” Initiative**

The **Office of International Students** at Capital University (formerly Helwan University) has announced the launch of the initiative **“Capital University International Student Ambassadors”**. The program aims to strengthen the role of international students within the university community, empower them to take on influential leadership roles, and represent their university in the best possible way both inside Egypt and abroad.
The initiative is launched under the patronage of **Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University**, and **Dr. Emad Abou El-Dahab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research**, with the supervision of **Dr. Lubna Shahab, Director of the Office of International Students**.
The initiative seeks to prepare international student leaders who can support their peers academically and socially, participate in international events, and promote a positive image of the university in their home countries. It also aims to build effective international relationships among students from different nationalities.
The program enhances students’ **leadership, communication, and teamwork skills**, giving them priority to participate in international activities and conferences organized or attended by the university.
**Dr. El-Sayed Kandil**, President of Capital University, stated that launching the **“Capital University International Student Ambassadors”** initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting international students and enabling their active integration into university life. He emphasized the university’s focus on welcoming students from diverse nationalities and cultures, enriching the academic and social environment. The initiative is designed to prepare student leaders capable of representing the university with distinction and aligns with the university’s vision to strengthen the international higher education system and attract more international students in the coming years.
**Dr. Emad Abou El-Dahab**, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, described the initiative as an important step to deepen academic and cultural ties with the countries of origin of international students. He added that **developing qualified student leaders capable of effective communication contributes to expanding the university’s international network and enhances its academic reputation regionally and globally**. He stressed that the university pays special attention to international students through programs and activities designed to support their academic and social experiences.
**Dr. Lubna Shahab**, Director of the Office of International Students, explained that the initiative aims to **identify the talents of international students and leverage their skills to serve the university community and support their peers**. She noted that applications are now open for students interested in this distinctive leadership experience. The initiative will include training programs and practical activities that allow students to take on **representative, cultural, and social roles** within and outside the university.
The Office of International Students outlined the eligibility criteria for the initiative:
