Capital University at the Heart of “Opportunities Without Limits” in Riyadh and Jeddah:

A Strategic Vision to Attract International Students and Strengthen Egypt’s Regional Presence

Capital University (formerly Helwan University), both public and private sectors, is participating in the Akhbar Al-Youm Universities Exhibition under the slogan “Opportunities Without Limits”, held in Riyadh and Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from January 25 to 29, 2026. The exhibition is considered one of the most prominent high-level educational forums in the region.
The event is held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, and Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Capital University’s participation comes under the auspices of Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University, and Dr. Emad Abou El-Dahab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.

The exhibition is organized by Akhbar Al-Youm under the patronage of Mr. Islam Afifi, Chairman of the Board, and the supervision of Mr. Mostafa Abdo, Editor-in-Chief of Akhbar Al-Youm Portal.

The exhibition is organized within a strategic framework aimed at enhancing the attraction of international students, supporting Egypt’s national plan for the internationalization of higher education, and reinforcing the position of Egyptian universities as distinguished regional and international educational destinations.

Capital University (public) is represented at the exhibition by Dr. Lobna Shehab, Director of the International Students Office, while Capital University (Private) is represented by Dr. Manar Selim, Deputy Director of the Marketing Department. This participation comes within the framework of a partnership agreement between Capital University and Akhbar Al-Youm, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Ebada, Director of the University’s Marketing Department.

The Akhbar Al-Youm Exhibition is a high-level educational forum that brings together students, parents, educational leaders, and decision-makers. It aims to introduce the academic opportunities available at Egyptian universities, open direct communication channels with universities, and enhance academic partnerships with international schools and Saudi universities.

The exhibition also targets Egyptian high school students in Saudi Arabia, whose number exceeds 100,000 male and female students.

Following the opening, the exhibition includes a special event attended by Arab ambassadors and consuls, presidents of Saudi universities, and representatives of international schools, enhancing academic cooperation and opening new horizons for scientific and cultural exchange.

Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Capital University, affirmed that the university’s participation in the Akhbar Al-Youm Exhibition comes within a clear national vision supporting Egypt’s strategy to attract international students. He highlighted the university’s special interest in Saudi students, given the strong fraternal and historical ties between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He added that Capital University is keen to offer modern academic programs, integrated student services, and a supportive educational environment, making it a preferred choice for Arab and international students. He emphasized that international students represent real added value to the university and serve as ambassadors for Egypt in their home countries.
